Holding a Master’s Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, Alex is an experienced educator and has taught in a variety of settings. His past teaching experiences include working as an elementary school Band Director in New Orleans, Teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten music in a New York City Private school, A Guest Artist Instructor at a Jazz Camp in Dallas, and a Teaching Artist working with Students with special needs in New York City public schools.

Alex has also taught privately for many years and has worked with students of all ages and of all abilities. In his lessons, he focuses on student’s air support in order to help them maximize their sound and establish good playing habits that they can use throughout their musical journey. He also works with students on jazz improvisation and is available to teach beginning trombone, flute, and clarinet.
